ROMANS 12

Romans 12

Place Your Life Before God

1-2 So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Don't quit in hard times; pray all the harder

11-13Don't burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant

So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ's body, let's just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren't

PROVERBS 16
3 Put God in charge of your work, then what you've planned will take place.

7 When God approves of your life, even your enemies will end up shaking your hand.

20 It pays to take life seriously; things work out when you trust in God.

PROVERBS 18

10 God's name is a place of protection— good people can run there and be safe.

14 A healthy spirit conquers adversity, but what can you do when the spirit is crushed?

LORD, IN THE NAME OF JESUS PLEASE HELP ME TO CONQUER THIS ADVEERSITY

22 Find a good spouse, you find a good life— and even more: the favor of God!

PROVERBS 10:
Blessings accrue on a good and honest life,

17 The road to life is a disciplined life; ignore correction and you're lost for good

lord, let me learn from this trial and not waste it!

what the good people desire, they get.

lord, in the name of jesus, i ask you that my healing is manifested on the outside!

28 The aspirations of good people end in celebration;

the ambitions of bad people crash. 29 God is solid backing to a well-lived life, but he calls into question a shabby performance.

lord, let me expect your glory to come through in my situation!
let me live victory minded!

PROVERBS 11:
4 A thick bankroll is no help when life falls apart, but a principled life can stand up to the worst.

lord, let me live a principled life!

14 Without good direction, people lose their way; the more wise counsel you follow, the better your chances.

lord, i need your counsel! please order my steps!

God's loyal people will triumph

lord, teach me to be loyal to you!

25 The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed

28 A life devoted to things is a dead life, a stump; a God-shaped life is a flourishing tree.

lord , let me lead a god-shaped life

but life rooted in God stands firm

A hearty wife invigorates her husband,

lord, let me be a blessing to pascal and my children!

16 Fools have short fuses and explode all too quickly; the prudent quietly shrug off insults

25 Worry weighs us down; a cheerful word picks us up

let me heed this advice!

ROMANS 10

They don't seem to realize that this comprehensive setting-things-right that is salvation is God's business, and a most flourishing business it is

LET GOD DO THE HEAVY LIFTING, I CANNOT HEAL MYSELF!

Moses wrote that anyone who insists on using the law code to live right before God soon discovers it's not so easy—every detail of life regulated by fine print! But trusting God to shape the right living in us is a different story—

I HAVE TO RELY ON GOD!

The word that saves is right here, as near as the tongue in your mouth, as close as the heart in your chest. It's the word of faith that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us. This is the core of our preaching. Say the welcoming word to God—"Jesus is my Master"—embracing, body and soul, God's work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That's it. You're not "doing" anything; you're simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That's salvation. With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: "God has set everything right between him and me!"
11-13Scripture reassures us, "No one who trusts God like this—heart and soul—will ever regret it." It's exactly the same no matter what a person's religious background may be: the same God for all of us, acting the same incredibly generous way to everyone who calls out for help. "Everyone who calls, 'Help, God!' gets help."

The point is: Before you trust, you have to listen. But unless Christ's Word is preached, there's nothing to listen to

PROVERBS 1
Because you wouldn't take my advice and brushed aside all my offers to train you,
lord, please train me how to live, do not let me waste this trial!

help me to seek you and your kingdom first, to make you a priority in my life!

and pays special attention to his loyally committed ones

help me to be loyally committed to you!

20-22 So—join the company of good men and women, keep your feet on the tried-and-true paths.

teach me please those tried and true paths!

PROVERBS 3

5-12 Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own.Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track.

Run to God! Run from evil!Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life!Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best.Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over.

Run to god, your body will glow with health - dear lord, let me receive this promise and claim it in faith and help me to make you first in everything i do!

27-29 Never walk away from someone who deserves help; your hand is God's hand for that person.

ROMANS 7
25The answer, thank God, is that Jesus Christ can and does. He acted to set things right in this life of contradictions where I want to serve God with all my heart and mind, but am pulled by the influence of sin to do something totally different.

please grant me the help of jesus christ and the holy spirit in trying to please you and doing what is right in your eyes!

ROMANS 6

Throw yourselves wholeheartedly and full-time—remember, you've been raised from the dead!—into God's way of doing things. Sin can't tell you how to live. After all, you're not living under that old tyranny any longer. You're living in the freedom of God

But offer yourselves to the ways of God and the freedom never quits. All your lives you've let sin tell you what to do. But thank God you've started listening to a new master, one whose commands set you free to live openly in his freedom!

22-23But now that you've found you don't have to listen to sin tell you what to do, and have discovered the delight of listening to God telling you, what a surprise! A whole, healed, put-together life right now, with more and more of life on the way! Work hard for sin your whole life and your pension is death. But God's gift is real life, eternal life, delivered by Jesus, our Master.

BIBLE STUDY MAY 24

1 KINGS 9
As for you, if you live in my presence as your father David lived, pure in heart and action, living the life I've set out for you, attentively obedient to my guidance and judgments,

PSALM 136
Thank the miracle-working God,
Takes care of everyone in time of need. His love never quits.

ROMANS 5
3-5There's more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we're hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we're never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can't round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!

now that we're at our best, just think of how our lives will expand and deepen by means of his resurrection life! Now that we have actually received this amazing friendship with God, we are no longer content to simply say it in plodding prose. We sing and shout our praises to God through Jesus, the Messiah!

If death got the upper hand through one man's wrongdoing, can you imagine the breathtaking recovery life makes, sovereign life, in those who grasp with both hands this wildly extravagant life-gift, this grand setting-everything-right, that the one man Jesus Christ provides?
